Welcome back Vista Height students!

With a new year comes the exploration of new instruments for students in music class.  We have begun our focus on instruments that play the melody line and accompaniment music.  Students are learning to play melodies and chords on the barred instruments and are learning to identify the notes on the music staff and recognize when the pitches are getting higher or getting lower. In the coming weeks we will focus on preparing songs with several parts that will include melody, harmony, and rhythm.

Students in Room 4 will be learning the recorder instrument starting on January 19th.  Any student who needs to buy a recorder needs to return the form and money as soon as possible.
